Since 1998, the Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) Scholarships have supported young talents to pursue their studies through the Undergraduate Scholarship. In 2023, two new undergraduate scholarship schemes were launched, namely the Chairman's Scholarship and the Striding On Scholarship. This year, four local students were awarded the HKJC Undergraduate Scholarship and two awarded the HKJC Striding On Scholarship. These Scholarships cover awardees’ tuition fee, academic expenses and living costs for the entire normal length of study towards an undergraduate degree programme, plus an overseas learning subsidies.
The Undergraduate Scholarship awardees are:
- AU-YEUNG Kok Yi, Department of Health Technology and Informatics
- BOW Ka Man, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences
- NG Cheuk Yan, Department of Rehabilitation Sciences
- TSOI Pok Kong, Department of Health Technology and Informatics
The Striding On Scholarship awardees are:
- CHEUNG Hiu Ching, School of Nursing
- SHIH Kang Kwan, Department of Computing
The HKJC Scholarship celebrates its 25th anniversary this year. Dr Lawrence LI, Deputy Council Chairman and Dr Miranda LOU, Executive Vice President attended the anniversary dinner cum recognition ceremony on 2 November 2023 to share the joy with the PolyU awardees.
