DanioVision DVOC-0041 is a high-throughput tracking system for zebrafish and other small organisms. The system is a complete system, which consists of an observation box, a temperature control module and an animal motion trajectory tracking system (EthoVision XT). The observation box provides a controllable test environment: the culture plate has an infrared backlight holder, a high-quality infrared induction camera, and a white light source that can be automatically operated by TTL according to animal behavior or time. There's plenty of room in the box for other configurations, such as color/white LED headlights, optogenetic devices or additional devices for other custom options, to create the ideal experimental conditions.
Observation box
The observation box includes standard components for creating controlled environments and optimizing tracking results. Its orifice plate frame allows easy placement of 96, 48, 24 or 6 culture plates and can accommodate many culture dishes and small containers. In addition to the infrared backlight for video tracking, the observation room is also equipped with top white light, which can be used to create day and night cycles or provide stimuli. The light intensity and illumination period can be controlled by EthoVision XT.
In addition to the basic modules, we also provide you with a series of add-ons to further expand your experimental options. Sound & vibration stimulation unit, top light stimulation unit and optogenetics equipment can be programmed and controlled by EthoVision XT.
Sound/Vibration Stimulation Unit
The strong panic response of zebrafish larvae may be caused by light or vibration stimulation. Light stimulation is an integral part of the zebrafish observation box, and sound & vibration stimulation units can be easily installed at the bottom of the orifice plate or under the petri dish. The vibration stimulation is caused by the device through the water flow in the orifice plate; sound stimulation is used to study the panic response of animals by observing the built-in speaker of the box. You can customize 8 different levels of vibration intensity and set the number of vibrations in each stage in the EthoVision XT.
Temperature control unit
The temperature control unit of DanioVision can be directly connected to the observation box, and the temperature in the observation box can be independently controlled by the flowing water flow, which will not interfere with the behavior of zebrafish. The device is compact and can be placed next to the observation box or on the floor. It only needs to connect two water pipes and two cables to set the temperature required for the experiment. The experimental temperature control range is 15 °C -40 °C, and the control accuracy is +/-0.5 °C. From setting the required water temperature to heating or cooling to the set water temperature, it takes only a few minutes to complete. The temperature control unit can provide an ideal controllable environment for studying the activity, movement and behavior of zebrafish larvae, so that the whole experimental study can be carried out smoothly.
