Introduction:

Brook's Minispec Body Composition Analyzer is a cutting-edge benchtop MRI analyzer designed for measuring components in living mice, rats, and other animals. Since its first application in 2001, this analyzer has gained significant recognition as an effective, non-destructive, and non-invasive tool for characterizing and scanning mouse models in the laboratory.

The Minispec benchtop Time Domain NMR (TD-NMR) analyzer is a proven performer for the measurement of body composition of fat, lean, and free fluid in small animals e.g. mice, rats, and in a given organ/tissue or biopsy sample. Due to the different relaxation decays of the various sample components, fat, lean and free fluid can be easily detected and clearly distinguished with the help of chemometric methods.
