Wellness Promotion
Students’ psychological and physical fitness are among the top priorities in the
University. To promote and enhance their holistic wellness development, a wide
variety of mental health campaigns and campus-wide caring activities are organised for
students throughout the year.
The Orientation Programme for the academic year 2022/23 is scheduled for 25-26
August 2022, with physical booth showcase at Shaw Sports Complex and briefing
sessions at Global Student Hub. The participating student bodies, departments and
offices will set up booths and conduct briefing sessions to introduce their activities and
services, as well as addressing questions from freshmen.
Mental Health Caring Project
The Mental Health Caring Project aims to serve the following objectives:
- Promote the general awareness of mental health on campus;
- Enhance the psychological well-being of the PolyU community; and
- Equip participants with some basic knowledge of mental health and helping skills.
Throughout the academic year, talks, workshops, trainings, educational activities and exhibitions on topics related to mental health and psychological well-being are organised for students.
Psychological Groups and Workshops

Wellness Fund
Under the upsurge of COVID-19, Wellness Fund is set up with the aim to enhance the mental well-being of students through group-based student-initiated projects. There are different creative ideas received from students on wellness promotion.
Wellness in Action

PolyU receives the Exercise is Medicine® – Gold Campus Award
Exercise is Medicine® On Campus (EIM-OC), initiated by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), is a global health initiative that aims to create a culture of wellness on campus. resources and potentials for personal growth and actualisation.
Student Counselling Service is free of charge and all information shared with the
counsellors is strictly confidential. Students are welcome to make bookings through
online, email, phone or walk-in to SAO office.
