The state-of-art ThermoFisherKrios G4 Cryo-Transmission Electron Microscope (Cryo-TEM) enables researchers to unravel protein structures at the molecular level reliably and efficiently. The Krios G4 is a highly stable 300 kV TEM platform with an industry-leading autoloader (i.e., a cryogenic sample manipulation robot), making it ideally suited for automated applications, such as single-particle analysis (SPA), cryo-electron tomography (cryo-ET) and micro-electron diffraction (microED). The zero-loss filtering of the Selectris Filters removes noise caused by inelastically scattered electrons, producing an increased signal-to-noise ratio (SNR) and better contrast to enhance sample resolution even further. Falcon 4i Direct Electron Detector produces better quality images at an acquisition rate of up to 10 times higher than the previous generation. The automated data acquisition software on the Krio G4 facilitates data acquisition for subsequent SPA and cryo-ET workflows. Our GPU Cluster for Cryo-EM supports on-the-fly data processing and enables researchers to solve high-resolution structures in a shorter time.
