New ULS Equipment - Nikon SMZ1270i Fluorescence Stereomicroscope

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is pleased to announce that the Nikon SMZ1270i Fluorescence Stereomicroscope is now available for booking. The new system is a parallel-optics and zooming type stereomicroscope offering advanced operability, as well as high magnification, zoom ratio and resolution. ULS Seminar and Demo - ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell Imaging System

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is co-organising a seminar and a demonstration on the ImageXpress Pico Automated Cell Imaging System with Molecular Devices. The details are as follows: Date: 23rd April, 2019 (Tuesday) Time: 2:00 to 2:30 pm (seminar); 2:30 to 3:30 pm (demo) Venue: Y716, Lee Shau Kee Building (Block Y) Speaker: Dr Ting Fung Tsang, Product Specialist, Molecular Devices Registration is not required for the seminar and demo, but seating will be on a first-come-first-served basis. If you would like to try the system using your own sample, please contact Dr Michael Yuen by 18th April for arrangement.

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) is pleased to announce that the Nikon Ti2-E Live-cell Fluorescence Imaging System is now available for booking. The new system is an inverted, fully motorised, large-field-of-view wide-field fluorescence microscope equipped with a collection of state-of-the-art features for live-cell and large-tissue tile imaging. Training Workshop for Circular Dichroism Spectrometer

A training workshop for the JASCO J-1500 Circular Dichroism (CD) Spectrometer will be held next Wednesday (27th February, 2019) at 14:30 in Y709. Updates on the ULS Equipment Charging Scheme (2019)

The University Research Facility in Life Sciences (ULS) will be updating our Equipment Charging Scheme with effect from 1 January, 2019. In the meantime, we are pleased to offer discounts to internal research groups with monthly usage exceeding HK$5000 (10% discount) or HK$10000 (20% discount). If you have any queries about our new charging scheme, please do not hesitate to contact our staff.

To get this offer, simply make a booking of LC480 via the ULS online booking system and forward the booking confirmation email to Dr. Ryan Chow.
