Introduction:
The Medusa system is designed to record neurophysiological activity during sleep, epilepsy, and cognitive behaviors in freely moving mice, with a single unit capable of acquiring electrophysiological signals from up to 8 animals simultaneously. The Medusa system is easy to install, powerful, and user-friendly, and is capable of collecting, processing, and analyzing a wide range of physiological signals (e.g., LFP, EEG, EMG, ECG), as well as accelerometer motion signals, and can be used in conjunction with a variety of equipment including behavioral and optogenetic stimulation and electrical stimulation systems, and video synchronization systems.
