Campus landscape
Outdoor space on the PolyU campus not only provides connection between buildings, but also creates a pleasant and relaxing ambiance for the University community and visitors. Careful landscape planning and visionary strategies are therefore important.
To strategically develop a pleasant campus landscape, PolyU has formulated the Landscape Master Plan for the coming three years. A number of improvement works will be executed, including but not limited to introducing new plants that fit well with the existing brick-red campus, and optimising the irrigation system.
To promote campus landscape development, PolyU provides a number of interactive online platforms, including GreenMap@PolyU, Fauna@PolyU, and TreeMap@PolyU, to communicate with students, staff, visitors, and the public on the University’s green features and facilities.

EV chargers in carpark
Electric Vehicles (EV) offer eco-friendly transportation options with no roadside toxic gas emissions or smoke. To facilitate green campus development, our Campus Sustainability Office, Department of Electrical Engineering and Facilities Management Office joined hands to commence another phase of EV charging facility installation.
Four more designated parking spaces on the first floor of the carpark were equipped with semi-quick AC chargers during the reporting year. Students and staff with valid parking permits can register in advance and check the availability of all the charging facilities on campus via the web-based EVCharger@PolyU platform in real time.
