Amigos Christmas Ball 2023/24

We had an amazing time at the Amigos Christmas Ball, which took place on December 23, 2023, at the InterContinental Grand Stanford Hong Kong. It was a night brimming with happiness, laughter, and unforgettable memories. We were privileged to have the two Associate Deans of Students, Dr. T.L. Yip, and Ms. Kelly Lam, as our esteemed guests joining us in celebrating the holiday season.

More than 130 participants from the Amigos program gathered to revel in the enchanting atmosphere of the festive season. The event boasted many activities, including delectable food, delightful music, an exhilarating game, a photo booth, a Christmas wish area, and the highly anticipated Best Cultural Dress-up Award.

The Christmas ball began with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Kelly Lam, Associate Dean of Students, followed by a sharing session where students shared their experiences of participating in the Amigos program. Then, the enjoyable evening kicked off with a captivating first dance performed by a talented group of students, gracefully gliding across the dance floor to the enchanting melodies of a live band. Additionally, the International Student Association (ISA) showcased a cultural talent show, with their songs elevating the atmosphere to a new high for the night.

One of the highlights of the night was the Best Cultural Dress-up Award. Participants showcased their creativity by donning traditional attire from various cultures, each individual being unique and special in their way. In the end, the award was bestowed upon Miss Shao Xinyi who represented the vibrant Chinese culture.

The Amigos Christmas Ball created a magical ambiance, uniting the Amigos community in a spirit of joy, harmony, and celebration. We want to express our heartfelt appreciation to all the participants who had infused the night with their enthusiasm and festive spirit, making it an unforgettable occasion.
