- Full-time & Part-time students are eligible for applying for one locker, subject to availability.
- Students studying programmes offered by College of Professional & Continuing Education (CPCE) are not eligible to apply.
- Rental period: From 4 September 2023 up to 20 July 2024.
- Rental fee: Free of charge.
- Login Locker System (https://www.polyu.edu.hk/saolocker/) from 4 September 2023 (10.00am) for 2023/24 locker application on a first-come-first-served basis.
- Select locker location & the row of locker, read the regulations carefully and indicate your acceptance of the regulations.
- Check the locker number in the Locker System after received an email titled "Locker Application Result".
- Successful locker applicant should:
- Prepare your own padlock.
- Submit your padlock to Student Affairs Office (SAO) counter at QT308 (entrance from Core T) in person within 28 days.
- Print a unique QR code label at the SAO counter.
- Stick the QR code on your padlock.
- Hand in the padlock to SAO counter staff.
- You could use the locker from the 6 working days* after you give SAO your padlock. No further reminder will be issued.
- If you fail to submit your padlock to SAO within 28 days from the issuance of the confirmation email titled "Locker Application Result", we would assume that you give up the locker. The locker will be released for application by other students.
* Saturday is not counted as a working day. For example, if you pass your padlock to SAO on 4 September 2023, we would put your padlock to your assigned locker on or before 11 September 2023 and you could use the locker from 12 September 2023.
Students who have their student status changed are required to report to SAO as soon as possible. Early return of locker is required in case of:
- Graduation or completion of study
- Termination of study
- Deferment of study
- Withdrawal of study
- Change of Academic Programme
Those users have to vacate their lockers and remove their padlocks as soon as possible within one month. Failing that, SAO will take follow-up action as listed in the regulations.
Students should comply with regulations governing the use of lockers.
Lockers located inside buildings will be subject to the opening hours of the buildings as announced by The Campus Facilities and Sustainability Office (CFSO). In general, the opening hours of buildings are as follows (subject to change by CFSO):
Monday – Friday: 7.00am – 11.00pm
Saturday: 7.00am – 7.00pm
Sunday & Public holidays: Closed
Students should inform SAO through sending an email to locker.info@polyu.edu.hk or via https://www.polyu.edu.hk/pfs2/index.php/779395?lang=en if they have vacated their lockers for returning to SAO before 20 July 2024.
1. How do I locate my locker?
Please note below the configuration of the locker number, for example: AB12345
The 2 letters (AB) refers to the WING/CORE/BLOCK
The first digit (1) refers to the FLOOR
The last four digits (2345) refers to the individual LOCKER NUMBER
2. Can I return my locker later?
No extension would be entertained. Locker users have to vacate and unlock their lockers on or before the deadline.
3. What can I do if my locker is damaged?
Please go IN PERSON to the reception counter of the SAO at Room QT308, 3/F (Entrance at Core T) for advice / assistance.
4. What can I do if I lost my locker key / my padlock is out of order?
Please go IN PERSON to the reception counter of the SAO at Room QT308, 3/F (Entrance at Core T) for advice / assistance.
5. What can I do if my assigned locker is occupied by unauthorized user?
Please check your locker number. If you find the locker number is correct, please bring your padlock to the reception counter of the SAO at Room QT308, 3/F (Entrance at Core T) for assistance. Please be reminded that the application should be made IN PERSON.
