Under the guidance of different PolyU hosting units, a rainbow of over 80 student-run organisations and interest groups hold hands with the University to create a vibrant and colourful campus culture. Nature of these student organisations ranges from academic, professional, cultural, recreational, sports, social to just fun interests.
Around 40 of these affiliated student organisations are working very closely with SAO to offer different kinds of extra-curricular advancement opportunities for PolyU students. Prof. Albert Chan, Dean of Students and colleagues from the Student Development Unit of SAO run regular communication sessions with the office-bearers of these student organisations to gather good suggestions and understand their needs. The first dialogue in 2022-23 academic year was held on 27 September 2022 at the Global Student Hub.
